Building Tomorrow’s Technology Workforce Through Research and Mentorship

The UC Davis Be-Starse Program had the opportunity to help welcome 21 undergraduate students to the NW AI Hub-UC Davis Summer Fellowship Program.

Professor Saif Islam led the onboarding session with an engaging and informative presentation on workforce development initiatives and the future of semiconductor technologies. It was inspiring to hear about the opportunities ahead for these students and the impact they can have on the next generation of innovation.
The excitement in the room was palpable as students shared their enthusiasm for the research experiences they are about to begin.

A special thank you to the UC Davis College of Engineering faculty, and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory who have generously committed their time and expertise to mentor these outstanding students. Your guidance will play a critical role in shaping their academic and professional journeys.

We're is excited to see all that this talented cohort accomplishes this summer!
