BE-STARSE Broad Engagement for Students and Teachers to Advance and Reinforce Science Education

UC Davis is committed to fostering innovation and providing high-quality educational programs that prepare students from diverse backgrounds to become leaders, inventors, and engineers in industry, government, and academia. In line with this commitment, we are proposing to enhance and expand our workforce development initiatives in two critically important areas identified for national need in FY2024-26: Semiconductor Technologies and Information Systems and Data Sciences. This initiative aims to address key skill shortages in these fields, ensuring our students are well-prepared to meet the demands of these dynamic sectors.
